uk flatland championships in newport yesterday (8th oct 2011)

welsh rider matti hemmings has been wanting to hold a flatland contest in wales for the past few years. this year he set about making it happen. and yesterday his dream came true. a top day was had by all and i even came out of competition retirement and entered for the first time in 14 years and had to ride pro due to not enough amateur entrants. won some goodies for 7th place and won best old school trick win with a backwards barspinning infintiy roll. not bad considering i turn 40 in 2 weeks. shame i couldn't nail the double decade. still had fun though.
