Finding old bmx's
« on: September 17, 2011, 01:05 PM »
I have just sent out some messages to some of my old riding buddies on Facebook to see if they have any of their old bmx's and if they want to sell or even better restore them and join rad!

I have just had a reply from one of my Facebook buddies. He used to have a nice dp firebird. Unfortunately he got rid of it a few years back. But he did inform me that he knew a bloke that had shed loads of old bmx equipment in souldrop. Which is a few miles away from me.

My ears pricked up a little. Could I have stumbled on some bmx gold!

My fingers nervously typed a reply to my mate saying I would forward some pics on my current build.
And to also ask if I could be put in touch with the bloke who has all the bits.

I'm eagerly waiting a reply!  :daumenhoch:

Right. I have just had a reply. And yes this guy my mate knows of does have a massive old school bmx collection of parts for sale.
I was getting very excited about the proposition of sourcing some nice bits for all of us until I read who it was!

bloody BIAGGIO!!!!!!  :knuppel2: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :knuppel2:

Gutted!!!

I have had to explain to my mate what a Cnut this bloke is.

His reply was I'm not the first to tell him this. He said he saw him earlier this week getting a load of handlebars sprayed up ready to sell. So expect some bars on eBay next week for inflated prices!!

Oh well I still have some other replies to wait for!  :daumenhoch:

It was such a shame. I thought I was on to something!

I was dreaming of some rare parts that I could sell to iguffinmypants for over inflated prices!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Anyway I'm still waiting on replies from a few more. One had a dp another had several haro's and the last had a mongoose decade. So I shall wait in anticipation!  :daumenhoch:
