i hav finally got verything for my brakes
BUT does the caliper need springs
wen i bought it new, it didnt have springs
but my dad says it should?

my m8 had a golden nugget and took the front brake off it
would the springs out of that work?

That bike has v brakes mate! Well in the spec it says so.

So no, no good for a side pull on your Burner.

Those brakes need a little spring inside each arm.
The spring locates in a hole in the brake lug on the brake, and another one in the brake arm.

When you do them up, you twist the spring carrier so that the brake is sprung away from the wheel, then do up the allen bolt.

For the record the springs aren't visable normally, you tighten the caliper to the 990 mount then adjust how much it "springs" by loosing it off a little and turning the head bolt with a spanner then re-tightening the alan bolt.
