Monsterous Subrosa DTT v2 [updated pics]
« on: September 02, 2011, 02:42 PM »
Well, as those of you who were at radchester last weekend will probably note, my current "newschool" ride is actually a not-so-new 2004 WeThePeople in orange with heavy assed Alex Supra E rims in black, absolutely solid bike but it's as heavy as a brick shithouse!

Over the past few months i've been building a new bike, but because of my anal attention to color requirements, it's taken (and cost) way more than i originally planned.

Here's some in-progress shots for you lads.

Bars - Macneil Silencer XLT
Frame : Subrosa Pandora DTT v2
Forks : Odyssey Director CS2
Rims : Odyssey 7KA (Polished blue)
Tyres : Animal TWWR Whitewall (Odyssey paths in the pic)
Stem : Odyssey Elementary v3 (Orange Soda)
Headset : Odyssey ?
Seatpost : Federal slammed
Seat : Macneil Pivotal
Rear break : Xposure U brake (will switch it out for an Odyssey Evo II eventually)
Brake lever : Odyssey Mono Short
Grips : Odi Longnecks
Brake cable : Vocal
Brake arch (rear) : Odyssey ?
Pedals : Snafu (don't know the model, theyre orange, will switch out for Fly Rubens at a later date if they don't hold up)
Crank : Primo Hollowbite (Metalic blue)

[UPDATE] Added final build shots

Thats fooking lovely.

I hope the Oddy stem is better than mine (mine is a V1 I think)
Mine is a creaky piece of shit that constantly needs retightening.  I don't like the way it flexes either!

That frame is super nice.

Thats a lovely looking ride, can't wait to see the finished bike. I didnt have any trouble with the odyssey stem (v1) either, I too know the taste of flaky pastry! I think some peeps greased the wedges lightly.
Hope you dont have the trouble i had with the stupid cable stop system for the rear brake, but with a few nights work and chatting with StevieD on here, got it sorted, not before the daft 2mm bolt holding the stop had pulled right out of the frame!
