i asked about the stem but he wasn't willing to negociate (? spelling) i stuck in a cheeky offer to which he came back with 'No i'd rather keep it for that'  i said that this is where you normally come back with a figure you'd be happy with?  he just said no i'd rather sell it with the frame and forks   

so i said to him that he obviously thinks it's worth £100 or something so crack on 

he said there was no need to get shirty about it

Huh!  I don’t get what the fuss is about.  Okay, his title only tells 20% of the story but his description is totally clear what you are bidding on: "This actually was a Raleigh Mk1 early 80's Tear drop frame mag burner.  It has been shot blasted and re painted to a high finish in a spray booth and is in new condition".

Assuming the interested bidders can read, I don’t think the advert is particularly bad.  Sure, it could be "improved" a little but all the information is there, you just have to read past the adverts' title.

Right so imagine this scenario, your other half knows you want to relive your youth on a BMX which was white and called a skyway or something like that, it's coming to your birthday so they go on ebay to find you that item you dream of and they buy that, now how pissed off are you gonna be when you open the box to find that, then you find out it was shilled up to £400.
