my DP race bike... finished build! PIC HEAVY! lol

bought this bad boy a few months ago, f&f, pads and bars
changed my mind quite a bit along the build as you do! wheels,grips, brakes, seat clamp, chainring (3 times  :roll: )
finally settled for this, bit of a budget build by some standards, but im pleased with how it turned out!
it will get a seat upgrade when im a bit more flush, but as its a seafront cruise bike this seat will do fine for now! :grin:
so here are some pics of the build as it progressed!

tried a black chainring

went for gold but wasnt totally happy




so here finally is the finished bike!  swapped out the tange for ame's, suntour clamp and swapped the sugino stem for a good old sr :grin:

tis a lovely beast innit and not very often you see a dp racer! i had a waynes world moment when i saw it up for sale "it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine" lol

not 100% sure on the bars, seller thought they are renthal but there are no markings of any kind so not sure! they are sweet though!

the fire bird does suit a set of spokes so much better than tuffs,,,,,,,spokes make her look sleeker and faster

Looks good.

Had a Delta 2 in white, all of the paint fell off so got it stripped and painted again.
Wish I'd kept it, but had to get rid when I got my Haro Group 1.

Fooking lovely, I love a black bike they look so fast.  Just hoik (is hoik) those bars back a tad for me, when they are more forward than vertical it just screams Burner
