30 YEARS OF BOURNEMOUTH (PICS)
« on: August 27, 2011, 07:07 PM »
a relativley small gathering today compared to the monster that is mk but none the less a really good day, being made even more special by tim march's appearance as one of the show and shine judges.british bikes were extrememly well represented if not a bit too much with plenty of mrd's and curtis's and only a handfull of american made bikes.i got to meet a few more radsters in the flesh and spoke to tim who i must say is a really decent guy and very approachable,he must have felt very proud to have seen so many mint mrd's today.

SHOW AND SHINE WINNERS

Few more pictures here aswell.

Gav Gremlins DB was awsome.  :smitten: :smitten:

Also on show was Pete Middletons old bike which is now on display in Hot Wheels i think, not 100% sure though.  ???

Clive Goslings awsome awsome Zeronine, if mine's half as good as this when done i'll be happy.

John Johns 1986 world championship winning bike from the Worlds at Slough. He won in the 40+ class and he was sill giving it a good go round the track today   25yrs on.

I think this was Bernie Schalles (sp) old race bike, fantastic looking machine, couldn't take my eyes off it.

Brilliant to speak to Sarah Jane Nicholls aswell, sadly i didn't take any piccys of her Redline dressed as a Vincent or her but Phil did above. ^^^^

Her mate an ex racer from bitd recognised me and was speaking to my missus about me  but i don't know who she was sadly, Sarah told me her name but i've forgotton now.  :-[ :-[ :( so if you're reading this then i'm sorry.

What I cannot fathom when seeing the sheer size of Tim is how the hell did he ride those little bikes BITD.

Full respect to him for that and if I met him I would definately buy him a pint.... of methylated spirit wrapped in a brown paper bag.

A few more images I managed to snap before my camera batteries died  :knuppel2:

It was an amazing day. Very nice seeing the  :Great_Britain: contingent.

The bike of the day for me had to be the survivor Vdc Changa, original dealer decals, Irc Kuwahara front tyre, Sr tubular 1pc, untouched (brushed) finish Tuf Neck stem, and those bars...  :daumenhoch:

Had to throw another pic of my 2nd place entry in again  8)
