I've always wanted a Hutch since the 80s.
I'd never even seen an XL24 until my first MK a few years back.
(Some of you might know it was partially inspiration for the Emer Swift project)

One was posted in the for sale section a few weeks ago, and a 3am drunken dib dobs in the shortest possible decipherable sentence was placed.
It was a surprise to get a phone call about it the next day, but after seeing it- I had to have it (don't amazing decisions occur when drunk? eating kebabs, snogging girls, buying bikes, getting into fights etc etc..

I was told it's been sitting in some ones shed since 1986 and was last raced at the very same Milton Keynes track which I picked it up from (cheers Scorcher Mick).

There was alot of rust to clean off, and I'm not sure how far I'm going to go, with restoring it with Hutch parts.
It'd certainly be good to get some Hutch forks for it (and maybe a stem), but I'm staying well clear of Hutch grips, dice caps and their 'going rates'.

I've posted some pics of how it looked before and now. Hope you enjoy the pics

Thanks guys.
I spent a fair bit of time polishing that puppy up, and getting the rust off those spokes was no fun at all.
I'm thinking of getting some new decals for it as the current ones are pretty scuffed- but don't think I can bring myself to take the originals off (in borderline autistic manner)

Well done with that fella. Saw this when Mick bought it home. Had its last race at Milton Keynes then never left the garage for 25 odd years

There was also a GT and a nice box of spares had. If I remember rightly there is possibly something else hutch sitting in another garage somewhere aswell.... is that right Mick, I cant remember
