LOL,i actually won this frame and forks!pick it up on thursday.see my thread PR STYLER.for me the rarity and exclusivity is a winner, after all,how many people can say their bike was 1 of 20?but the sentimental reasons of having the opportunity to own this bike again for me are priceless.its a very pretty bike when built and used to turn heads bitd.its got nice small proportions compared to other circa 1984 frames which made it alot easier for me to ride and climb all over as a 12 year old kid.PR mainly built race frames.

Nice one,

Look forward to the pics of it being built up.

I always wanted my Curtis with lower fork standers as i thought the Freestyler ones were to high and upset balance. I remember vaugely (it is nearly 30 years ago) that  I thought Curtis had brought the Freestyler out with some lower standers a year or so after I had got mine.

Perhaps, this was the frame and forks that I saw back in the day.

HMMM,im a bit curious about the forkstanders,as far as i remember mine were high up on the forks, which i agree is a shit position and as far as i remember i uses to run axle pegs too,but the ones on the frame i have recently bought look as if the pegs are lower down, which i definitely have no complaints about.maybe my first frame was an early one and this is a slightly later one with revisions,or maybe i had a set of curtis forks on my original frame and wasnt aware.the PR frame is quite different to the curtis, when i post pics you will see.the platform on the PR is very slimline and compact, its hard to tell from that ebay pic.

deeman, I have a Curtis stickered version of this frame, will post pics tomorrow.  Bodamus had one too which was slightly different to mine (as is yours)

Mine has different rear standers for a start but looks like the same basic frameset.

I also have a PR Racing race frame......pic tomorrow also.   :daumenhoch:

There's a freestyle bmx magazine, pink with Craig Campbell on the front with his chrome and blue pro-lite, they did an article about the pr with Brian Curtis stickers on it, was an interesting read, unfortunately I don't have  the magazine anymore, but someone should  :daumenhoch:

wow,ive never seen that curtis frame and forks before.its certainly similar to the pr.main difference is on the pr the top tube bends down slightly at the back, bit like a badlander, but then  the chainstays flow from the same point on the seat tube.the platform is way different too,and also the pr doesnt have a bent down tube.looks like the same forks as the ones on mine though.thanks for the pics man,im going to pick up the f+f in a couple of hours will post some pics up as soon as i can work out how to do it,im crap with computers!

Yep - By the time I got home you had bought it  :LolLolLolLol:   :daumenhoch:

The one that Simon Retrogeezer has was 'done' by Brian Curtis, after he left 'Curtis' (long story - he went into partnership with a few guy's that wanted to grow the business in the mid eighties, however Brian didn't like their ideas!)

Brian went out on his own to become Brian Curtis, then managed to get the 'Curtis' name back !

PR Racing were the partners left from 'Curtis' that had the iconic head tube left as stock - hence your PR Racing Freestyler ! (so Curtis in essence)

Not sure if that is 100% correct as Brian was a little 'protected' on what happened in the past  :daumenhoch:

Cheers for clarifying, I was getting a bit confused (not hard!).  For me the 'Brian Curtis' frame and forks look quality. I like the forks and the rear stands.

I love my freestyler, but I wish they had done the fork standers lower down like above.

I wouldn't worry as no two bikes were ever really identical !

I bet you didn't know that Brian was asked to do the bikes by Spielberg for a very famous film too
