do you know the funniest thing......
I have got a pro burner up in the loft complete from bitd as it was the mrs ride.
ha bloody har
just paid 200 quid delivered for a mini PK ripper and them forks
whiiiiiiiikad, as I shall now be aiming for greedy bastardsvile, asking for a nos set of mini ripper landing gear lites nad 200 quid
hah, thats how I roll......
so even now then I can date my frame too, as the forks must be january 1982 - pro burner.
the guy bought the whole bike new , so the frame must b at least from 82ish, which is nice.

that's gonna be a tough swap, as peeps with those forks will not necessarily need those forks - unlike me  :-[ :'(

any peeps that do make the swap here, let me know as i might have a good swap/£ for the forks here when you get them  ;)

cheers B :'(

you need a Pro burner to go with them as that's all they were made for - I have a Ramper R11XL to go with them which would work as they are both "R" gusset frames

Pro burners can go for £200 in poor state to £500 for a incomplete ok frame - £1000+ for a good Pro - but if you haven't got the frame, then that price is a tade high  ???

pm'd steve but never heard any thing back, then saw the price on RB

The price of the forks will be determined by how many people are looking for them, if you were the only one looking for them (which you know you aren't) then you could pay £50, if others are looking for them and they are willing to pay more the price will rise higher than £50 (not much more but higher, which you know is the more likely case)

Looks like Steve knows these are worth a bit more than you've offered (not a whole though but a bit) so he's
just put the feelers out  to see what comes out of the woodwork on the Burner forums, I don't think the £500 asking price means a lot as they are only worth what a person is willing to pay.

AFAIK they aren't the right forks for a Rampar R11XL and the right ones aren't that hard to get so I no idea why you would want them other than to use them for trade bait.

oh ! butter nuts  ;)

i had a set of Pro forks on the R11XL before - then i had a second frame come to me - at the time i didn't have the money to resto it - the van needed money - so i sold it to some one who i know would have done it proud  ;) Neil who then went onto win BOTM with it  - i liked the fact that it was a R11XL with Dragon forks - they matched well - i don't always do correct builds -that's cos there my bikes and i what the hell io like  ;)

steve didn't pm me back - so i know he doesn't want to deal with me - he hasn't dealt/sold with stella for them either - he want's a straight trade or £500 - which i think is too high

i would like to see it from your point of view, but i don't think i can stick my head up your ass too  ;)

You never know Steve might come back and accept your very generous offer.

If puts the feelers out on a Burner site that's his prerogative, he obviously put up a high price because he doesn't know what they are worth and is looking for interest.

I'd rather see them going to someone who is looking for them for what they are meant for and as you know there's a few people out there looking for them.

Looks like Steve is going to suit himself just like you do.

hidden hatred - nice

well i guess if he ebays them in the end that will show what peeps are willing to pay - that is if no one offers him a good deal  :daumenhoch: i have no proberlm with that - good luck

you seem to think that i'm getting all bent over this  ??? not at all - they would have worked with my plains with the R11XL (i know not in your mind  :'()

but what i don't see is why you are trying to start some thing just cos you don't like me  :idiot2:

have a look in the mirror and repeat "i must play nicely with the other kids"  ;)

cheers B  :crazy2:

I definitely typed it because thats what I think you should do rather than come back at me with the put downs of a 10 year old.

I honestly don't hold a grudge against you and I can't really be arsed carrying it on by PM.
