I'm heart broken.

I've been having odd thoughts in my mind for quite a while now and I really dont know what to do. I have quite a nice collection of bikes/parts/frame and forks in my loft that never get seen and i'm contemplating getting rid of all of it. If i was in a possition to buy a bigger house with a "boys" room then i'd not be writing this but im not sure i ever will to be honest.. Perhaps i'm just depresed as I popped out to get a bottle of wine last sunday on my TA and come off breaking my finger and taking a f*ck off chunk out of my other palm

I dont know really... I've been collecting for nearly 10 years....but think I may be falling out of love. help

Hahaha.. Yes griff i'm going to Mk and camping out. You know how it is.... i just dont know if its worth it. I've got alot of n.o.s parts that are probebly worth quite a bit of money and i'm questioning weather someone else should be enjoying it..

i was there back in april /may,i looked at my bikes and thought 'wtf am i doing with a room full of kids bikes!' due to personal circumstances the love had gone but its back with a bang now and im so glad i didnt act on impulse and start shifting my collection,id be livid now.the passion for old school comes and goes but i realised pretty quickly that its what makes me at this point in my life and im glad the bikes are there,and im the envy of my mates too

I think you're absolutely right Si my man, I think you should get rid of the lot, you'll feel much better. I'll take the NOS Fred Z's, the NOS Quad and the green Skys for a start, I'll be round next week to collect my stuff.

sold mine, no regrets mate - they were stuck under a plastic sheet in the cellar and I hated not having them on show - got 4 newish bikes now that I ride when I can, much happier!

I still have the love, you just have to have to decide whats more important and I have had more fun riding than polishing.

Some lucky feckers have both, but its not possible for me.

I'm sort of new on this scene, but my advice is if your not certain, dont do anything. No harm in keeping it stashed away for a year or two, while you focus on other stuff. At least you know that the stuff you have will hold its value.
For me I would only sell my bmx collection if I had a definate plan on what to do with the cash, ie deposit on house, kids uni fees ect, wifes boob job

I felt the same a month ago . I didn't loose the love for BMX I just didn't see the point of having nice bikes in the spare room gathering dust so I Sold 3 bikes

and some bits

and started a new bike ive never had before
