Carefully bud!

I use an old 1/4" socket extention bar and tap the back edge of the bearing carefully then when it drops out turn it over and knock the other cup out complete with the bearing in it. Turn it back over and knock the second cup out.

But gently does it or you will fook the bearing and cups!

as Spen says, just make sure you hit the bearing cups (on the inside of the BB) rather than the actual bearings else you can fook them up  :daumenhoch:

just tap round and they ping out no problems  :daumenhoch:

do what eveybody else does hammer and big screw driver and foooooooooooook up the back of the bearings   ;D

 ;D

Or decapitate Mr Spoon (and stop him going to Button Moon) and use that (ie cut the head off a wooden spoon n use that instead of a screwdriver ;) )

Oh, I was assuming you had the blue space tube in that's why I was suggesting knock out one bearing race first.
If you don't have the spacer in place, just knock out the bearing cups with the bearings in place :daumenhoch:

Oh, pics of that 880 still not done Terry, life just gets in the way. Will try tonight but got loads to finish for MK and the bike they're on is at the back of the garage and bottom of the list so bear with me bud...... :-\

i usually use a mallet and a piece of thick doweling

have used an old seapost before - hence i have some knackered bearing cases  :D
