My MK11 "Old School" racebike
« on: July 25, 2011, 12:18 PM »
Over the weekend i got my racebike ready for MK11. This meant putting a Putbull brake on (and hoping no one makes a big deal about the fact that the frame has 990 mounts) and swapping the classic 90s racebars for some that are wide enough to be able to ride. I might take off the mk1 PA cranks and put some profiles on there. PAs werent great at staying in one piece!

GT Mowhawk hubs (with hollow axles) and chrome Araya 7x rims.
(note to self: check the wheel nuts/axles aint stripped before next weekend!)

This is prob 93 but it IS 1 inch headset, shafted stem, and its using a bolt on brake. These frames came without brake mounts as well, but the one i have is a 990 one. Hopefully no one will mind.

Absolutely  looks Bang-On Brother

I know what you mean with the pitbull. If you wanna ride with a slammed rear end so you have a chance of lifting the front end up then the AD mounts are simply in the wrong place. So the only option is some form of Caliper.

By the way, tried your idea with the strips of T-shirt Grip Wraps. Fckn works a treat. Problem solved after all those years and rolls of Netto's finest.

Keep the Faith. L
