Not sure I read this right but it looks like the kid picked up a goose for a tenner, then sold it for £70.
Richie then ebayed it?
What did he make?
Anyway I am sure when the kid got an instant £60 in his pocket that he wasn't feeling ripped off.
If a name shaming thread is being started then get the kids up too because it looks like he did the same to the poor garage seller.
Also if it's been put up as a whole if who ever wins it then breaks it, they could end up with half again what Richie makes.
Hope he names and shames them too.
 ;) :)

Sounds fair to me, the youngun makes enough money to make him hyper on Haribo for a good few months, the rider gave the kid a price he was happy with, the rider then sells and makes a bit for himself. I cant see anything wrong to be honest, thats life. At least it wasnt split to obtain even more profit. Tell me you wouldnt do the same if it landed in your lap

The kid made £60 = 600% profit

A mongoose california isn't worth too much money so I'm guessing that the seller might get £150 / £250 if he's lucky and dependent on condition, so he'll make £70 or a bit more minus expenses.

I see where you might be a little upset by this, but I think he offered the kid a fair price for it.

Completely agree, it wasn't as though he offered the kid £12.

in my defence,i was with other riders when we saw the bike.we told the lad what it was roughly worth and told him to ebay it.

two days later he had found out where i lived and offered to sell it me.seeing as 6 weeks ago i was laid in hospital after crashing at yeadon and breaking

ribs, both my wrists and shattering my elbow(compound aswell) so being on the sick for 3 months saw it as a way to make a few quid.

i wouldn't really class it shameful like the heading, maybe surviving.

Now come on, being honest with the lad really is shameful behaviour, not the kind of thing we tolerate  :LolLolLolLol:

Hope you are healing though with those nasty injuries.
