new school help

friends are looking for a new school bmx for there sons birthday, they have about £150 to spend. What is the best bike for the money and where from

Just be aware that at that budget you'll do well to get the micro gearing and pivotal seat that the kids all look for...

Secondhand is a good shout, or try and up the budget a bit if possible, all the sensible kit starts at £200 up.

a very good point, i made the mistake of buying one without for my lad anf three months later i was buying a nrew rear wheel and front sprocket

he's only 8 and just said must have stunt pegs :)

whats the mongoose programme like as found a place that has 1 for £150 delivered does this have the micro gearing a pivot seat???

No, I don't believe it does.   Also, at 8 years old, won't a 20" bike be too big for him?

It does look like it'll need some attention - that gyro's not right.. but it's a £300 bike new and they are very, very good.

the programmes run 36-13 opposed to the 'cool' 25-9
