Just had a test ride of the beat.......what a great bike, so nice to ride......nearly flipped it cause the brakes are soooooooo sh*t!!

After that, easy ride home  :2funny: got them adjusted nice and central, spring even etc....cables lubed, maybe it'sthe pads(skyway copy)?...I found a few set up threads but any info on mx900/tech 4's set up greatly received!  :daumenhoch:

Lovely to ride aint they  :smitten:
Reference the brakes, you can adjust em all you want and try all the pads you like...they dont get any better  ;D ;D ;D
Only thing i can suggest is some new school blocks but they will squeal lkie fook when you use em...you will stop though, eventually  ;)

So if you're riding it Phil, where's the latest pic then as the last one you posted is missing a few vital parts ??? :2funny:

Before you give up on the brake blocks, let them bed in a bit as they work far better than original Tuff pads but you can't adjust the rake and pitch of them like n/s blocks. They need a good run-in down a long hill mate, so give it a go.

If you bring it to MK we'll sort it out as those n/s blocks squeal like a fookin' pig mate and will drive you mad so try and get your brakes adjusted up first.......

Let's see this bad-boy then, chop-chop :knuppel2: :knuppel2:

Spen :daumenhoch:

ps - have you polished or painted the Kool Kaps white bud as they look awesome ??? :coolsmiley:
Still limping......

Ok so this is pretty much finished now, just some valve caps and stunt pegs to add.  A the moment I am using the Skyway ez2's as they are chrome and I like the chrome look, once the MK1 ez bars are chromed they will be put on as I prefer those.

Let me know what you think...

skyway streetbeat 1985 Frame/Forks
Redline twinpinch cranks
Mx900 with tech 4's
KMC chain
Skyway Tuff 11's with kool kaps
KKT AMX Pedals 9/16
Tioga Beartrap 2 headset
SR stem
Exposure Daves (cause I ride it)
Sugino 43T chain ring with tioga spider and bolts
Shimano 16T free wheel
Viscount Dominator seat
Renthal layback
MX Clamp
NOS A'me rounds grips
NOS blue DC 85 cables
Skyway EZ bars mk2

Spot on Phil, I like that a lot :LolLolLolLol:

Just possibly need the collars and cuffs in the same colour I find (grips and saddle) but it's got the right mix of chrome and some good use of new school tyres for safety I see :coolsmiley:
Still limping......

Thanks for the comments  :daumenhoch:

Will swap the seat guts around as you say and have a look, and Spen yes, safety tyres are the order of the day as this is ridden and after seeing your pics......

Will throw another pic up once seat is done.
