where do you put it ?

right got this in a box of stuff from a mate - he doesn't know what it is - now i assume that it is a stem clamp ?
but just tried to put a stem inside it and it doesn't fit ?
so who knows what and how it is

which way up and what to do with it
is it a seat clamp instead ?

id say the clamp goes around a larger tube  ,allowing a smaller tube to slide up and down the larger one and then to be locked off by the grub screw

Now this is an easy one bendy. It's part of a drum kit. I would say it's for a symbol stand. Pearl make drum kit me old mate. But u can fit it to ya burner if u want

this came from a mates shed of bike parts, i had the bmx bits and saw this - i had seen a couple of seat clamp stem clamps types - so i thought it was one and tried it for size, it was too small so that was the first clue  but i thought i might as well ask you lot

to a drummer it is obvious
