Righty.....as the title says!

Do you need a special tool to split the BB on these mini's? It doesnt have lock nuts etc....

Cant say ive done one like this before!

That looks like a sealed cartridge unit, you will need a special tool to remove that, it will come out in one piece,  something like this you just need to get the right one  :daumenhoch:

Your lucky that should be relatively easy to find a tool for.

I've been looking for a tool to fit this one for about a year now:

Diesel are you using the BB again or getting a new one, if fitting a new you can get them out using a stillson wrench.

Antony - that's a standard tool so your LBS should be able to remove that easy.

Failing that get it into the fix-it gazeebo at MK and I'll get it out for you as I think Hootski's treasure chest of tools has one in there to fit it :daumenhoch:
Still limping......

If you get a tool and have a go, remember that the drive side is a reverse thread  :daumenhoch:

I would destroy it but I'm concerned I won't find a replacement  :'(

I would imagine its 68mm shell and 108 or 110 spindle width, both are readily available  :daumenhoch:

Bought a tool for it.

Damn it was tight (seized), had to get some heat on it and put the tool in the vice and basically turn the whole frame.

Its out now though.

Shimano bb-un52 needed, easily available on the net unless anyone here has one for sale??

Cheers Mark, will give you a shout

The spindle is 125mm

The Bottom Bracket measures 65mm

Anyone any ideas what might fit this?

I would say that the BB you have in there aint for single speed but for a triple, that spindle width would put the chainline out by a mile, as for the shell width 68mm should be fine.  Have you tried some cranks on there to see how it shapes up?

I have some nice 165 cranks for it and they seem to line up fine, although now that you've said that I'm going to double check.

I had a chat with SBD a little while ago about masking it for spray - So I'm thinking I might risk it in the oven with the BB attached

As It works well I'm not sure I really want to thinker about with it too much.....  ???
