Nice 28lbs in the late 90's heavy? Most of My bikes were 35+!!!
Available in 'General Lee' Orange or black on release (1997) - did a bit of a potted history for 'em over at the museum:http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=2578997#p2578997
cool will keep an eye out. I do see a lot of DK four/six/eight packs kicking around and the odd cincinnatti, and previously had a punt on a couple locally, but being tighter than a dolphins arsehole never won them!! They are lower end aren't they?? Rarely see a general lee though
Propably not as many about as You'd think, a lot of the Generals cracked/broke at the wishbone behind the seatpost for some reason from what I can gather, I know a rider round My way went though a few of them in a short space of time.

Ha, Know where You're coming from! To be fair it was probably due more to the riding style of the time, heavy street/ramp abuse on what was more of a jumping frame. If You wanted to ride a DK and bring out the big guns You'd get the S.O.B, that thing was built from bridge girders!!!
who was aftera general lee??http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DK-GENERAL-LEE-LTD-EDITION-CUSTOM-BMX-PAINTED-BLACK-/160611007291?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item2565297b3b
