nice one Jay, coming along very nicely  :daumenhoch:

good to know you found something that works on tuffs too  :daumenhoch:
my new-style tuff pads are a bit rubbish so went for clear Rad pads from stodgy - they're still at hutchman's house but hopefully I'll have similar success with em and I can finally try that endo!

Bloody Hell J that is sweet, me wants one, what f+f do I need to make one of these?  :4_17_5:
1983 Haro Freestyler Gen 1 - is what its an exact copy of. should be able to find one fella, but i will add, they are very short on TT side. Im a fooking munchkin so suits me nice

Local bike shop fella. They are Xposure Bachelor Pads, just google them, circa £4-£6 a pair, lots of colours and also, i found later last night online, completely clear is available

coooolio ................ that's a gen1 replica  8) . Can't wait to see it fully dressed, if it turns out well and looks well genuine, I'd  keep one eye open for some *cheap* blue alloy tuffs dusty stylieeeee  ^"^ :D

 :daumenhoch:

naah, come to think of it, those would have course look nice, but i believe they would take away the ease factor, and the current tuffs willl fade to the right shade anyway   ....as long as the ..ehm.. gen will be sufficiently ridden in the sun  ;)  .... some cool kaps perhaps..

New pedals on, going to take a couple of snaps in the garden once the mini storm is over.

and the decals are gen2 [printed onto white] which are going to be painstakingly cut out and applied to make a chrome gen 2 stylee custom. I have allergies to doing anything correctly and like to keep it mixed up

Pedals on and some custom decals to jazz up the boring seatpost and a couple of haro chevrons on the redline bars for a bit of colour

Re: The bike i wanted bitd NOW FINISHED - DECALLED UP 25/07/11
« Reply #42 on: July 25, 2011, 06:12 PM »
Yet again shunning all convention, and not playing by the rules, dammit im never conforming the fake gen1 is now sporting gen 2 master decals. YEAH BABY mixing it up big time!!!!! I fooking love this bike. i love every bit about it, the non matching headset cups, the dodgy headset, the home made grub screw in the cheap ass headlock, the fact Ive had to use a twin torq seat clamp because the seatpost tube is too short. Its rusty, because as a kid i wouldve so left it out in the rain It really has turned out, just as it wouldve done bitd if id owned it, built from bits of other bikes, bit ive gotten off mates, its been a dream build,

A few thanks and a spec

frame forks bars other sundries - Joe oldschooldayz - cheers mate for getting the dream started
Tech lV levers - Spen you had them for sale at just the right time you star
Shimano SX Pedals - Pete [iirc] nice one fella, only person out there with blue pedals, and i got there 1st, woo hoo
Win Stem - snav - this stem is so sweet, it may not be high end, but it looks the nuts
Grips - You know who you are and i cant remember who it was lol

loads of other bits and bobs from other forums

and finally my lovely half for the tuffs

enjoy the show

Indeed, although im wondering whether my cainring has the right offset to fit and SR. It will be coming along to mk along with the 79 Huffy as noone ever gets to see that and its a bit different
