Nice Jersey with classic Bike
« on: June 14, 2011, 10:04 PM »
When i posted My 78 Robinson i posted this original photo of Scott clark on a 78 Robinson ( 1979 ) .

Last night Jason Ramsden and Tony Law  ( legends ) and joff  ;)  came round to have a look at my bikes ....... they had a rip round the street on a Robinson and my GT and once they get the hang of a track again the old school riders are gonna get a shock ...  ^"^  Tony is mental .. and fast !  .. Oh  ^"^  they also pointed me in the right direction to a Torker Cruiser  :-X

Anyway Jason left and sent me a TXT saying i'm commin round again with something special ..  ::)  ( not a 10k hooker ) but this ...  Given to him by Chuck Robinson  :smitten: in 1982 when he raced for Robinson in the USA  its an original Scott clark Race Jersey that he raced in from 1980 ( i'd kill for the one in the Photo ) but this to me is amazing  ... :smitten:

And yes i have tried it on, and it fit's ..

Carl  :daumenhoch:

I knew you said you were going to sleep in it but i didn't actually think you would

It was a good night all round mate ..........  my wallets a lot lighter this morning  :-X  Cheers for the deal Carl , appreciated  ;)

That jersey is a proper piece of kit :daumenhoch: When I first saw that black & white shot of Scott Clark I thought it was Alan Woods ;D
Anyway, here's a shot I took in the summer of 2007 of ex-Torker rider Mike Pardon with his own tribute to Scott Clark.

That's the one Christian  , it has Yellow Z's though, black hubs  :smitten: The Z's look NOS but they don't have the ACS Z rim around the rim  :-\  Did they all come with that ?  .... I ain't no Z rim expert  :-[

It's just not like me to buy a full bike and keep it as it is , im into my full restorations , re sprays , restoring the battered parts etc but this one is staying as it is , maybe a couple of tweeks , brakes and grips possibly  ;)   I just love it how it is  8)

The early ones didn't have the Logo's on the side ( I'm almost sure )

Do they say Made in England on them ?

Can't see any 'made in england' on them just 'ACS Z rim pat pend'   ???  The rim surface has got the same slightly rough texture as the centre bit of the rim , making me feel they haven't been restored/flatted back etc . There mint either way , I just fancied adding some of Del's finest decals to continue the Yellow and Black theme but if they aren't meant to have them i won't bother  ;)

Cheers Dubber :daumenhoch:

Did a bit of searching Christian , you were right   :daumenhoch: http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=101952.0  looks like i have the earlier USA made ones which just have one decal near the valve hole  ;)  The English made ones had the lettering around the rim edge .  Thought the ones i have didn't look like they had been used but couldn't get my head around the lack of rim markings .

Exactly  :daumenhoch: ,, You wondered if they were NOS

If they had " Made in England" moulded on you'd know the logo's would've been rubbed off

 you've got some minty  early un's , Bonus  :4_17_5:
