love the look of it and the location sets it off  8)

so tell me what is different to normal pugs ? it's a tange frame so must be top of the line !

I have a couple of pugs to do up - think one is CPX301 and the other is a CPX601

 CPX601

don't think that is the original seat  - think it is the rare CPX 301

matched up from museum - (unless any one can find me different ) :?!:

cheers B

I've been totally bowled over by the response this little build has got.
Thanks again for all the kind words, it really does mean a lot :)

B, from my understanding, this is essentially a Tange model (Tange tubes and Tange defined geometry). It's difficult to know for sure if it was Peugeot made (from Tange tube kits) or Tange made in Japan but similar frames were made available to other manufactures like the Hattori Pro Sight, made for the Australian market. However, this CPX seems unique in it having a Euro BB and Tange Mangaloy Tubes. I think all the other Peugeot models would have been made in France by Peugeot using tubes from elsewhere. The French lads on here will probably be better placed to provide more info on this.

The 500 was the top of the line CPX model (excluding the Reynolds Peugoet Team which I think was built in the same way as the Reynolds Team Burners) but strangely this one doesn't feature in any catalogues that I've come across. The 83 Peugeot Catalogue has the CPX-500 with the Lion logo gusset but I'm not sure if that had Tange tubes. The test bike featured in Bicross May 82 had the same boomerang gusset as mine and that's the only other one I've seen.

These links might help with your Peugeot ID's if needed:
Peugeot Catalogues:  http://cyclespeugeot.com/Catalogs.html / http://www.peugeotshow.com/

Bicross Mags:
http://www.23mag.com/mags/bxm/bxm82.htm

Totally different build ? I quite like the new guise too.
Nice pics aswell  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for all your help with the info you dug out for me Arnaud.
If there's ever anything I can do to help you on this side of the Channel jlmk mate :daumenhoch:
