Shock Absorber BMX
« on: June 11, 2011, 07:25 PM »
Right there's a guy in my village that I have seen on a couple of occasions with a Suspension BMX.

I managed to catch him today for a look at his bike and a chat

The frame looks Old School if you know what I mean, it hasn't got that chunky 1990's look.

The frame top tube is slightly bent just before the front shock mount and the rear floating frame is pivoted behind the bottom bracket. The shocker has to be about a foot long.

There are no markings on the frame and the welds look very professional like factory welds. It doesn't look home-made thats for sure.

The lad paid £60 for it a while back!

I have scoured all the Shock/Suspension BMX's on BMX Museum and there is nothing there that looks like this.

I will try to catch up with him again to get some photos but until then here is a totally rubbish drawing to give you an idea!

Yes I know it's shite!

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?????????

My mate ozzy had a Yamaha BYZ suspension BMX, but that was `83/4, same range as the 301/401 BYZ's, monstrous thing with a big red seat like a banana!, weighed the same as a burner, 2 grifters and a chopper!!

would love to see it/another now!
Hard + Stylish = Chicks + Beer!!!

Nope, nope and nope,

It isn't a Dan Gurney, a motobecane,  a Yamaha or a repco.

It has the same style bent toptube as the repco but the fwd shock mount is underneath the top tube in front of the bend.

I have looked at every bike on BMX museum but cannot find it!

The search continues!

EVERY bike make and every bike...................

Complete waste of time as I never found what i was looking for although it was cool seeing so many variations on the BMX theme!

It wasn't a Team Playway Trak Trail was it, I had one of those, it had 20" wheels and suspension but the spring was on the front.

GO FORWARD TO THE PAST, WITH NRP'S
