As much as your Yellow tape Holmes looks fantastic, I think I'll keep the Menstrual in the weird raw finish.
I will put Menstrual decals on it tho.

Got a bit more done to this today. Magnesium Primo pedals, PE Hubs on Peregrine superpro rims, GT tires (one black wall, one amber wall). I also offered up a Shimano U-brake but its missing a few bits. Its coming together well, almost done now.

(I think the rear tire might be quite old. The rubber edge below the bead is really .... crispy. So much so that it sliced 3 fingers getting the tires on the rim! It has a Winged GT logo on the sidewall.)

That was my (the) first pair of Production design PE hubs. I ran them silver for a while but then painted them Red so they'd stand out more.

Check out the "wheel nut" on the front. It Grub screwed to one side of the "squewer" and had a notch in it so it didnt rotate. You only needed one spanner to do the wheel up, and with one peg there was no axle showing.

Great idea - could you run a peg on both sides, or would that interfere with the notch? Gonna have to keep me eyes peeled for a set (saw some last year I think KevS was flogging) - I'm hub and sprocket obsessed :)

There's no thread to run a peg on that side. I had a "left side" peg that was threaded, had an anti-spin notch, and was locked onto its own axle with a wheelnut inside. When i wanted to run 2 pegs on the front I'd undo the right side wheel nut (inside the peg), pull out the "NAIL" spindle and replace it with the "PEG" spindle, and do the right nut up again. Easy.

Crackin' :) Always amazes me that other companies during the 90's didn't pick up on innovation like this and slap it on their products.

What, like Haro coming out with "LSD" hubs (Left Side Drive), or G-sports front hubs looking pretty similar to PEs?  :LolLolLolLol:

I got a bit more done to this last night.

Changed the seat for a padded Primo, put on levers and grips. Just gotta put on cables (and decals) and its done.
I might cut the seatpost down a bit too  ;)

Nope. They are the first ever pair of PE hubs. I built the front wheel in 1994 with a rim and spokes i bought from Mental Jimmys (John Paul Roger and Magoo's Garage).
