That was my (the) first pair of Production design PE hubs. I ran them silver for a while but then painted them Red so they'd stand out more. Check out the "wheel nut" on the front. It Grub screwed to one side of the "squewer" and had a notch in it so it didnt rotate. You only needed one spanner to do the wheel up, and with one peg there was no axle showing.
Great idea - could you run a peg on both sides, or would that interfere with the notch?
Always amazes me that other companies during the 90's didn't pick up on innovation like this and slap it on their products.

are they g-sport dirt hubs?
Suprised the locking bolts on the levers haven't been knocked out
Quote from: darksunday on November 28, 2011, 10:46 AMare they g-sport dirt hubs?Nope. They are the first ever pair of PE hubs. I built the front wheel in 1994 with a rim and spokes i bought from Mental Jimmys (John Paul Roger and Magoo's Garage).
