hersden regional 29/05/11

its been a while since O/S racing has been seen at a southern regional but as Hersden is the home of O/S in the south they have decided to give us a class at their regional.
it is being held on the 29th of this month at it would be great if we could get as many riders as poss and have a great day.
today was round two of the Hersden club series and we had a full gate of o/s so lets do better for the regional and try and have two full gates.

please note this will be a demonstration class and payment should be made to tony on the day.no need to pre register with south region as they wont know what your on about.also if any of the northern oldschool would like to come down and make a weekend of it ,we have camping on site at £10.enjoy!!!

An OS class at the Regional, how tempting Andy.  However, for reasons I shalln't explain here, I hadn't planned on coming up in my van that weekend and not sure three bikes on the back of a Citroen C3 is a good idea - Matt & James will be riding the Cruiser class that day.  Something to think about methinks.  If I think it's a goer I'll be there propping up the back of the field during races and a fence inbetween whilst I gasp for breath.  Humps

Al, please bring the ol redline up, i think this may well be the last time i get to race you as I really cant see me racing next year.

We are trying to race all the Hersden series this year but money is very tight.

well what can be said about the overwhelming support for hersden s first regional !!!!!!!! ONLY 3 OLD SCHOOL riders  turned up !!!!!!!! is it any wonder o/s class is danger of being axed !!!!!!!
but as wasnt enough to run the o/s race we whent n played in vets !!!!! dam fun days racing

Was a shame a few more of the OS regulars didn't turn out for this one but without a formal class it was always going to be a bit difficult.  I'd volunteered my services to the club to help out before I heard about this and had already decided to drive up in the car (48mpg on petrol) than in the Transit (34mpg on diesel) so had two cruisers strapped to the back of it which is quite enough really.  Still, you guys got to go out in Vets which is arguably where most of the old f*rts belong anyway on a NS or OS ride.  Good to see the old place again and the boys and I will probably be back up before the season finishes and I'll bring the Redline; promise.  Humps
