I have been collecting now for about 2 & 1/2 years and i have a few nice bikes. I like high end and rare stuff that you don't see every day and i have a few nice bikes in my collection, only one of which was bought complete (STR - 1)
I first saw a picture of this bike about 4 months into collecting and i knew that was my dream bike and one day i would have it no matter what. About a month later I bought the Frame & Forks with Hutch Ladder Bars and a Tioga layback post from Ebay already done in pink so i thought great, this is it, i'm halfway there already! I didn't realise at the time how hard the rest of the parts would be to source to get it absolutely spot on not to mention the obvious cost involved. A few weeks later i got lucky and found a set of NOS Pink Woody Zs from Earlstuff and then i contacted William Fong (80skid.com) and bought the NOS Bars. I contacted Juan Mattos (BMXAddicts) who sold me the Aerospeed Crankset and the tyres were relatively easy to find as were the Pro Rotor, Stem and Brakes so i got it all together and built it knowing full well that i would never be able to find, let alone afford the SST Rear Coaster Hub, AME Unitrons and front Hutch Hub. I showed it at MK10 and was well pleased that it was finished, seriously chuffed to bits. Whilst looking around the rest of the amazing show bikes there i got talking to Bubbs and he commented on my Trickstar and i said it was almost an exact replica but i couldn't find the grips or rear hub, to my astonishment, he said 'I think i've got a set of NOS pink & white AME Unitrons at home'. that was it, i was back on Woody Itson mode and i was determined to rebuild it to an EXACT spec this time. It has taken me almost a year now to source all of the correct parts and i have just picked it up tonight. To say i am pleased is the understatement of the decade, i feel 12 again. A big thankyou has to go out to the following people who helped me out BIG TIME on this project particularly Norm Kiproff who took tracings of his Woody Decal and then scanned and emailed them to me so i could forward them on to Del who reproduced them to such a high standard that Norm said unless they were side by side you would never tell which one was original. Norm also hooked me up to the fact that the brake levers were ACS not DC as i thought, he even found some for me. Vince as usual did his magic with the restoration of the front Hutch Hub and polishing everything up to a sparkle right down to repainting in the MX Logos on the Levers & Calipers :daumenhoch:
Parts list as follows:
1985 US Hutch Trickstar Frameset RESPRAYED in Hutch Pink - Freestyle Icon
NOS Woody Itson Hutch Bars - William Fong - 80skid.com
NOS Hutch Western H Freestyle Stem
NOS AME Unitron Grips - Bubbs
ACS 'Tech 3' Locking Levers - Sourced by Norm Kiproff
NOS 1985 Stamped DC Cables
NOS Hutch Plate - Carlos Ruiz
NOS Hutch Layback Post
NOS Kashimax Aero
NOS Hutch Clamp - Earlstuff
NOS ACS Pro Rotor
Hutch Aerospeed Crankset 180mm - Juan Mattos
NOS Hutch Aerospeed Power Disc
NOS Sugino 44t Chainring
NOS Izumi Nickel Chain
NOS Hutch Pro Pedals - Juan Mattos
NOS ACS Pink Woody Itson Z Rims - Earlstuff
NOS Hutch Freestyle Tyres
Polished DC MX1000 Calipers without Quick Realease
Restored Woody Itson Freestyler rear SST Coaster Hub with all original harware - Juan Mattos
Restored Front Hutch Hub - Juan Mattos
Woody Decal - Traced, scanned and emailed by Norm Kiproff and then all decals supplied by the one and only Del - you are a genius pal
Most imprtantly of all though is the 100% NOS Energy that this bike expels

This is my latest build - I hope you love it as much as i do :smitten: - Adam

Hey Adam, congrats.  I know that wasn't an easy build to complete and it looks awesome if I do say so myself.   FYI, I believe those ACS levers went from me, to Norm, to you.  Sure wish I had my original.  Woody.

Boys, thanks for all your positive comments they really do make this hobby well worthwhile and it looks like the man himself has joined this site just to leave a comment aswell, I am truly stoked, thanks Woody and like I said above, if it wasn't for guys like Juan letting go of that SST hub (which I know was hard) this build would not have been possible.
Thanks again chaps

That is quite possibly the best build I've ever seen mate.  Love it, well done must've taken some scouring of the earth to get all those parts together (not to mention ££££'s)
