Just had a text from the other half and the DP GL firebird freestyler and other goodies has landed after some TLC from the one and only superbikedan, only 2 1/2 hours until I can knock off from work and I will be able have a peek, its like Christmas day again, will get some pics up over the weekend if I am allowed to go and play in the cabin  :LolLolLolLol: if not they will be night shots when she's a sleep :LolLolLolLol:

It wont be too bad as all I can do is look at it at the moment, decals haven't arrived yet, headsets in the post, still need some other bits, but its a start  :LolLolLolLol:

We had to go out tonight but I did get the chance for a quick look, the frame had been rusting fairly bad under the chrome according to Dan But as per usual he's worked his magic on it and brought it back to life, his work is just amazing  :smitten: I only took a couple of pics before I tucked it away again, crappy iPhone pictures but here it is

nice one fella. You sound a bit like me, I hate waiting, Ive had a few parcels sat on my deak at work for the last 3 days and its killed me not going to get them until today.

Will get the lump hammer on it in the morning and get the bottom bracket and headset fitted  :LolLolLolLol: still need lots of bits and I am going to have a go at my first wheel build  ;D need to get the beer stock up for that one :crazy2: will get a resto thread up when it all starts  :daumenhoch:

I will have to get the marker pen on them, it will save firebird steve a job  :2funny: and they come in handy to prevent my youngest one from drowning in the tub when I am Pi$$ed up on the lounger seat  :2funny:

What other colurs did they do these in ,, as everyone chooses white , my Frirebird  was white in 85  ::)
So there was

White

Chrome

Neon orange

Neon green

Neon pink

Ni Bronze


but what as from the Factory ,, I have seen black ,, but think that was a custom resto

think you've got all the factory colours there Dubber , don't remember Orange though but i'm probablty wrong on that? have seen a couple done in yellow think there might be one on here, mates bitd had em in red,  look nice in red with white tuffs chrome bits, brush painted smoothrite , can't go wrong ;D  :daumenhoch:,  and  baby blue, ( gashead style ? ),one did black/white fade ET style,   best finnish by far has got to be WHSmith sticky dots though  :LolLolLolLol:

btw, on the Pro, are the holes in the right side top tube to run a break cable?  If so, the opening at the back is not in a breat position.

I have two DP Freestylers but would love to one day get a Pro..

Yes they are cable routes, you have to do a pots mod type of thing on your caliper, it's  tricky though  :daumenhoch:

Yeah, you could also get Ultra Yellow as a factory option colour  :daumenhoch:  I did one a while ago.
