in training for the London to Brighton ride
« on: June 01, 2011, 06:26 PM »
I rode the 20 miles home tonight on my BMX......well it was eventful to say the least, first my chain slipped off as i rode out of the Hospital and i used my knee as a brake on the tarmack. then the chain slipped 3 more times on the way home (note, i must take a spacer out of the drive side crank arm!) then about a mile from home the chain snapped on me!  fooking thing!!

but after a nice hot bath i have a very warm feeling of satisfaction and a throbbing swollen knee  :daumenhoch:

Took me just over 2 hours but that was pushing the last mile due to the broken chain.

good effort mate  :daumenhoch:

have you been bodging together chains again? last time I saw you you broke one (or is it just your 'manly strength'?)

I need to get back on it as the last 3 weeks have just been a mixture of gardening/moving boxes/cleaning/building flat-pack furniture, with no time for BMX :(
Some good hills where I live now though and it's a 12 mile run to work so should be a good test - looking forward to the Worcester run too!
