Hi.

A mid thirties bloke who's just ridden a bmx for the first time in over 10 years.

I've recently handed down the family GT to my son who took ownership of said bike after a new paintjob and numoerous other parts to 'freshen' it up. Whilst that was being sorted i purchased a beater for him to roll around on so he wasn't rideless.

The 'courtesy ride' is what i've just been out on to help me lose a bit of timber..........  What a blast!

Anyways, i reached here via BMXmuseum and am looking forward to sifting through the forums.

Cheers guys. The garage already has a corner with a small drift of bike parts accumulating in there. I stripped an old Heavy Tools Screamer as well as the GT so that may be the next job. The bike i've claimed ::) is a Nirve i think(no markings) with a  low end rattlecan paintjob. It seemed to be comfy enough as it was a shade longer than the Vertigo.

I'll post some pics in the proper place.

Our bikes don't seem to fall into any other thread so i'll put them in here.

First up is a 90s GT Vertigo. First pic is before the new paint and with some random parts just to get it road safe.

New paint! Since this pic was taken, a new seat and GT decals have been added. A set of Bear Trap style pedals have to be fitted too.

Frame/Forks/Bars - GT Vertigo
Stem - GT Piston
Brake - Tektro
Grips - GT
Crank - 1 piece Sugino with Polished GT CD
Pedals - Bear Trap copies
Seat - Ruption stubby
Rims - Front - Unknown cheapo(just till he masters the art of popping wheelies up kerbs!)
           Rear - Alex Supra E
Tyres - Cheng Shin

This is mine......
Purchased for a few quid as a 'stand in' i've now claimed it as my own.

When i picked it up it was rocking some cheapo snakeskins and a front wheel so buckled it was trippy just to look at! Since the above pic i've swapped the seat and added some chrome cutdown bars as the black originals were just too damn wide! Some new pedals are on the way too.

Frame/Forks - Early 2000s Nirve?
Bars - Unknown(gutdown by around two inch
Grips - ODI Roughneck
Rims - Alex
Tyres - Max Daddy 2.25/Kenda 2.25
Brake - Tektro

Future plans are aGerman Navy grey paintjob with black detail. Ima leave the dings in......
