Never fails 4 me . fill the seatpost tube with boilng water then add the caustic  But b carefull as it will b volatile  Leave 4 a day the swill out with boiling water . Refill and repeat till gone  takes bollox 2 use boiling water on caustic but it works  I'm mad so it helps a little  garage is under the bathroom  was well in the good books when i did it  Misses was a bit upset by the smell etc
