Non of mine have ajusters I have 7 sets most if not all are 84 stamped, one set might be early 85.

Some came with adjusters and some didn't, there's a DC catalogue page that shows they were both available.

They are both dated 07 85. The clasps are 07 85 too but the bridge on the "open" one is dated 08 85.

IMO I think they look better with adjusters

BITD all my levers had adjusters and I guess I just prefer them that way

Never used the ajuster function ever on a tech 3.

and I ordered a re-issue set of Tech 3's from Alans and I think they have too
