Tuff Pads 2011
« on: May 08, 2011, 02:15 PM »
Well, its 2011, 31 years AFTER my first Skyways with Tuff Pads fitted and the new Skyway pads are just as pants as the originals.

I was running Eagle II Salmons on my Peregrines but didnt want them leaving marks around my black Skyways so thought I would try the new Skyway pads thinking theyve had 30 plus years to get them to grip but, low and behold, still dont grip  :knuppel2:

Is it back to Eagle II's in black or, is there anything better out there for stopping Skyways???????::)

could also try the copy tuff pads if you want to keep the os look there a lot softer compound so do work a bit better but they wear out a lot quicker .

I've done about 20 mile on my pads. They sit on a AD990 on the rear and set up is spot on but they just dont have that grip that the kool stops have. I try an endo and just keep going  :LolLolLolLol:
Coz the bike is heavy, I cant get it to 360 in one so hold the rear brake to flip it on the rear wheel but the pads dont hold it.
Gonna slap my Salmons on for now  :daumenhoch:  :coolsmiley:
