what age can you start racing

     My little lad is sick to race its all he talks about    ,  what age are they able to start racing , my lads 5 and fookin nuts  ,  any advice would be great guys

3 and up. It's really case by case depending on how confident they are but 5 or 6 is common in the UK. You can start by holding their wheel on the start gate which helps, also you can give them a push over any massuve jumps. My lad was 6 when he started last year and he was doing 2-pedal gates within a few weeks.

You have to be 4 to race at BC meetings as we had to wait until my lad was 4, its a great class (6 and under) with some not making it round with out help and others are little rippers

                 Not sure Spen most likely the MRD mini  as i've modded the mini Ripper for street abuse

my little n s 4 hes gagging to get on the track but my problem is ..he needs a helmet but i dont wannna buy one until i know hes up for it what do i do ??

A few clubs lend them out at official practice - that's how my lad got started at Bradford.

Don't know where you are but Gosport club have plenty of loan helmets available whenever i've been down there.
