any help and advice on this one? - anyone use this crank/trade?

Hi folks,

picked this up - think its about a 1998/99, I know its not that collectable but I am going to use it while my rider frame gets a fresh coat of powder.

Whats this crank set up all about?  It's a 'TRUVATIV', bikes still got a 16 tooth cog on the rear? Will it run ok for park etc?









Are these mohawk hubs and are they seeled?

look like mohawks, think maybe the lower end ones might have had a different name ?  ,, those do not look to be sealed bearing, Rooski is bob on with the crank set Trials bike, Onza , Da Bomb etc

Yep Mohawks - they're 'Sealed Mech' - ie loose ball bearings with a rubber shield.

sorry to sound really dim, what does that mean in terms of riding it - low gear set up or is it just a clearance thing?

could I use it for a bit of ramp work, mainly wobbling    or is it just not worth setting it up?

Oh I really like the look of those cranks fella.

You will however be pedalling like a madman running 25-16 really you want a 9t on the rear or keep the 16 rear and you know what to put up front

they are rather nice though, be a shame to not use them, nice chunky arms, mmmmm

oh good spot fella, ive never seen a 10mm 9t, whats the bcd on the 25t could you slap a larger 36t  or 38t someone on here has a 38t s&m for sale in gold , my lad ran 36 - 11 and that was a nice ride, spens brother now has that set up as my lad went to 25-9

oh well you'd better box those cranks up and send the mto me!!

Your Dirtbike will be spot on for park use... 

Odyssey and profile do cassette hubs with 10mm axles that would be able to use a 9t driver, expensive though, just whack a 44t up front and ride it as is...

   Dirtbike is great - now I am happy with the set up going to get a fresh lick of paint.. So I got this mess about on till its ready..
