Blue makeover
« on: April 23, 2011, 05:38 PM »
Given my bike a makeover, It has been black with green bits, Then white frame and cream forks/bars with green bits. Now no green bits and blue and black. What started as a new back wheel and smaller sprocket turned into a complete re-build :LolLolLolLol:
Couldn't decide what colour I wanted, Then kept seeing the new British gas vans floating around and liked the colour, Had a few PM's and chats with SBD. Done me a sample. Then BIGGEORGE posted his Subrosa DTT in blue, Gave his powder coater a ring and got the RAL colour which was what Dan had done me a sample of. RAL5015.
While the F&F and bars were at Dans the stem got ovenprided so did the fork top cap and BB cones. Quick rub over with peek, No machine polish bling here 8) You can see the machine marks in the stem :daumenhoch:

Thinking about ovenpriding the cranks now as they look scruffy compared to the rest.
Dont think I have any before pics, And should really have taken a pic of just the F&F and bars but was just in a rush to build it.

Nice Gary...  :daumenhoch:

What frame/fork is it?
Cheers.
The bike is a right mixture.
Frame is a Colony Endeavor 2nd hand from Robbo
Forks are Odyssey bought 2nd hand from lazychubs about 3 MK's back
Bars are United Grande bars, Cut down 1/2 inch each side
Stem is Standard Byke Co.
Cranks are Primo Powerbites with Ti Spindle, BB is Primo
Brake is all Odyssey
Back wheel is a Proper Microlite (supplied by long lost Trev)
Sprocket is Amity (supplied by long lost Trev)
Front wheel is from a Fit wheelset, Looking at getting a Proper one with chrome rim, But worried that the chrome will peel and flake within 6 weeks
Tyres are Fit Faf
Grips, seat, pedals and bar ends are all Shadow
Weight is around the 25 pound mark
