MK1 ULTRA BURNER BUILD, SO FAR..........
« on: April 23, 2011, 03:39 PM »
just thought i'd drop a few pics on of my mk1 ultra build, i'm hoping it'll be finished for the bash. just waiting for a few bits to land back from being zinc plated & re-anodised.

not that i don't love spec models but just wanted to put my twist on it a little.

rims after they'd been broken down & handed to our polisher in the fab shop, i'm pretty chuffed with the sideshines

frame, forks & bars after a few hours of nitro mors & wire wool, missus weren't happy about the state ileft the kitched in.

back from the powder coaters

then for the decals, i went in dry; but you could have i applied em wet the way my skin was leaking.

gold headset added

seatpost clamp, seatpost & seat added

not looking too shabby

wheels now they are re built (original araya 7x rims, suzue high flange hubs, dt swiss spokes - black & dt swiss nipples - gold)

wheel decals by retropect bmx, dust caps by yours truly

suntour stem, tricked out with some anodised fixings

sugino 44T chainring, powder coated sugino spider & gold sugino duralium chainring bolts

izumi 'V' chain landed over the weekend & i'm over the moon with it.

opc fitted

nos sr custom m pedals fitted

suntour power stem fitted

coming together nicely now, 1 week till the bash

brake guts & running gear back from being black zinc plated & black anodised, also black & gold anodised nuts fitted to completed calipers.

i'll keep updating the thread as bits arrive, let me know what ya think peeps.
