Just bought an old knacker of a 90'S bmx, make unknown, this is the first step back into the fold having not ridden for 27 years, now with walking stick at 44. (well it feels like it)
What a buzz, endos, 180endo's, my daugher of 9 thought a bunny hop was kool, apart from a few stiff muscles it's the best time I have had in ages.
Should I now go for the Robinson, Skyway ETC I have always dreamed of ?
Any advice on breaking back into the world of bruised shins and neigbours looking at you as if you are not the full ticket?
What the hell so much fun they could not begin to imagine.
What goes on in the south east, sussex area, any advice would be gratefu

I've just bought my first N/S ride and its sooooooooooooooooo much better

I just dont get the new school stuff, seems a bit small with the knees hitting your chin ETC, maybe I should get a Lazyboy fitted with a beer holder and TV.
The bike I got was a cheapy make from chester distributors Vega Corp, made in the country famed for quality bicycle manufacturing Taiwan, as i said it'as a good un. (the grin factor make up for it)

it took me a while to buy a n/s bike but there a lot easyer to ride and parts are cheeper and a lot stronger i bought fitbikeco trail series pro and love it get in touch with the rad shop they will sort you out

As some have said, if you're going to ride it hard get a New Skool, I have had both New & Old & as I just roll around I much prefer an Old Skool, looks way better & you can actually use the seat

So just go with what you want

As for the aching legs, I do a lot of Road & MTBing & the best thing I have brought are some compression tights/tops

I put these on after riding, after a hard ride or first in a long time ride & the next day my legs feel fine
