Quick fix chrome repair advice
« on: April 30, 2011, 08:09 PM »
Ok folks i know this should'nt be done to an o/s rider but till i can afford a full resto re chrome which then again is questionable ,in the mean time this is buggin me so i need advice heres a pic of my frame but as you can see the rear of top tube below gt stamp has issues

so im thinking spray chrome or a liquid chrome on that area only as a quick fix, any ideas or recomendations on products to deal with this, thanks in advance  :daumenhoch:

I've filled a couple of drilled holes in some chrome dropouts with solder and then sanded and polished you have to be careful not to burn the surrounding chrome so melt solder then stick it on, you could hardly see them after, it did dull a little iirc but maybe a bit of clear laquer over top would deal with that  :daumenhoch:
