Sorry only just seen this post!

I had to have a bit of a break since MK11 and now I'm working on which materials are cheaper as the overall consensus from MK was that our frames are expensive, so we're working hard researching materials and costs, ways we can offer o/s material frames and n/s material frames - as soon as we're ready I'll be shouting about it!

They were coming out at £595 and that's me barely making anything out of it

....so thinking of offering n/s tubing (which'll be a lot lighter too) with the VF old school designs - that should bring the cost down considerably, so doing loads of research and then gotta build a couple and then we'll go from there...

Cheers Katie just out of curiosity is the 595 price full cro mo? if so might it be worth doing a half cro mo? I have seen some new school stuff with only a cro mo downtube.

Would it be worth doing a low, mid and high end range like Haro currently do or would that be too much work?
I guess you are looking to get the very best product out there so making a hi tensile, low end frame is a no no

Yeah the 595 price was for full cro mo so I'm looking at various options - thanks for your input, will think about just the downtube in cro mo....and absolutely not going to make a low end frame!

Its got to be a low alloy steel all the way, hi tensile tubing is poor in strength to weight ratio compared to Chromoly tube. What grade of Chromoly are you using? Have you priced up the frames by using reynolds tubing or are you using race car spec/aerospace grade tubing suppliers?

Yeah currently looking at various tubing to work out what best for us....involving my dad in this too along with Flec who has worked all day every day with metal so I'm sure we'll come up with a solution.

I'm afraid 0001 has gone already guys...but I'm happy to do personalised stuff for a few extra quid.

25th of this month won't happen but I'm really hoping by March we'll be up and running....can't promise anything though, these things take time - especially when working full time and doing this on weekends etc, so please bear with me!
