some of you may have seen my recent thread about stripping black dx pedals,not realising that they were paint  and not ano the  oven pride wouldnt touch them so off they went to sbd along with a frame to strip.unfortunatley once stripped they were to far gone to salvage so i bought myself another set this time in red ano,but again im having a mare stripping them,the oven pride wont touch them,they been in there for half an hour and nothing :-\ so whats the bloody crack with them ???
and yes they are defo the og red ano

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

It's not Annodise it's a translucent paint they used, paint stripper will do the job.  Caustic will dissolve them from the inside out LOL!

no net yet,but i did on the black ones and it was a very very very very very very slow job,wish id gone for xc11's now,anyone wanna swap :-[

Takes about ten minutes, use an old toothbrush to get in the awkward bits....





Gave em another go after this pic using the above mentioned toothbrush, turned out both pairs were originally red

yes sam,worn away in about 50% of the area.just been to b&q for some thinners but dont like the look of that stuff,certainly cant sling that over the neighbours bush when im finished :2funny:
