Stunning!! But why oh why are the bars so far forward? What is it with the burner brigade and having bars that far forward?

Despite that still a cracking build and even though a Raleigh a real BMX :daumenhoch:
Do you know, I have already had my bottom severly spanked off Mr Fett about that. I knew it was coming too, when i got home last night after taking the photos at bradford in the afternoon i was thinking to myself "glynn mate you should have pulled them bars back a tad"
Don't  worry i will pull them back a bit for MK11  :-[ :coolsmiley: :daumenhoch:

really nice glynn, you always put a nice bike together.the rampars are so nice, why was the uk market lumbered with the burner :-\
Mark that question often get's asked when a foreign raleigh pro model get's done but it simply isn't true.
Raleigh actually sold that many bikes, mainly street bmx to the affordable masses but they also were putting out racing machines to match the best of them. Most of the lower rampar range is what the mk1 uk burner was based on but when you get up to the mk1 Pro Burner (Koisumi made).... That bike equaled and surpased the Rampar R11 XL that actually replaced this Team Rampar (made by bmx products) as the USA Team bike.
Also in the UK mk1 range you had the MK1 chromo, made by Tange and actually the same frame tange made for Kuwahara (the 1st edition nova)
So for all the affordable street bmx raleigh turned out in the Uk it was just the same in the US. Both country's turned out equavalent bikes for both markest the affordable street machine and the Pro class race machine.
I know i will never convert anybody but Raleigh made the bikes to cater every market, it's just the biggest sellers were the lower end bike market because a lot of us didn't have two half pennies to rub together in the early 80's. :coolsmiley: :daumenhoch:

Great build, love the colour too  :4_17_5:.

I see you have the mandatory Burner handlebar setting on it too  ;D.

You already know this I am sure but the little slot in the gusset is for the brake cable to be routed through  :daumenhoch:.

Yep I know about the bars lol. Thanks for the nice comments.
And the cable is slotted through the cable guide slot. The slot's on both sides of the gusset, you must have been looking at the other side. 8)
