Got a 42T Chain Ring, and 17T Freewheel, Going on a showpony with the very occasional roll about, would this work or am i gonna be peddlin like fook and going nowhere  :LolLolLolLol:

I always rode, and still do 45-16, 20 x 1.5 rims and tyres with 180mm cranks, lovely jubbly  :daumenhoch:

My own rider preference is 44 or 45-16 anything else and i feel my legs are going like a hamster on a wheel, alternatives would be 25-9 36-11 46-17 with 165 - 180mm cranks

Really Really wanna use the Chain Ring as it NOS Tuff Neck in black with machined teeth, looks fookin lovely  :smitten: wots he largers free wheel i could get?

Get a 16T freewheel. 42:16 is just about rideable.

Drop the rear to 16t, 42-16 is a great all round gearing, I have always ran it. 42 - 17 would be spinny, ok in a park, but shat for a ride.

I run a 45/16 on the pro burner as 42/16 was to mucho pedalo fasto for a cruz  ;)
