That'll be the hollow stem bolt for routing the brake cable

Potts mod is the hollow stem bolt that the brake cable goes through, so a front potts mod brake will be upsidedown so to speak where the brake linkedge is

you dont necessarily need the cable guide on the fork. you can use a cable tie there
and you dont have to run a gyro either.

The front brake is set up different to the rear brake.
Where the brake cable sleeve is held, this is on the bottom arm and the bolt that actually clamps the cable is on the top. (The rear brake is opposite ie the clamp bolt is on the bottom arm)
This is done so the cable can come from below the brake to allow clearance when the bars are turned so it does not hit the frame.
