Gish, it all boils down to if YOU feel comfortable on the frame I would have a go on a few and see what you think. They will ride a bit different to Mid School bikes but you should be able to tell if with a bit of work you'll be able to get on with them or not. Not all frames suit a riders own style but some give more extreme reactions than others and therefore people either love or hate them (and I bet I can guess who you were talking to that hates them )
If you yank the front up like you have to on some other race frames to manual, you will flip, BUT this is one of the reasons why the DIALLED is so good, you don't need to yank the front up, you can manual them for ever with FULL control as you can manual with the front wheel much lower and with MUCH less effort than other race frames.I think they are PERFECT frame (haven't seen my 20" in a while though as Billy Stupple 'borrowed' it
i reckon dialled will be similar to s&M 38 i got they are mint to ride 20000 times better than old school and mid school they are just right .id love to try a dialled to be honest as never ridden one as per the manualling they are much easier to lift by far
