Well me and mr snav did a test run today .. Made sure  the 4 bikes were strapped on and took them for a spin ... I have to be honest I was very nervours ... We did about 5 miles and get upto about 85 mph ..

I might have Problem though , im picking a bike up while I'm there ( something very special )  can any one help me get it home if needed

just occurred to me I've been going over the channel a bunch of times in last couple of years without sorting out an E111 in case I'm ill for any reason
bit stupid since they're free so just applied for one here http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx

called EHIC now but handy if you ever need to get treated in Europe
