Red Alloy Skyway Tuff's
« on: April 12, 2011, 11:42 AM »
Are these buggers rare or something  :-\

Just looking for an indication on price (buying not selling) and cannot find any  :-\

I'm guessing White ones would dye up ok.............but what Yellow  ???
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Yep, I bought a set from Matt (swivel) last week for £105 posted with Skyway freewheel but I need to get them cleaned and dyed so I'm not too sure at the moment what they will end up costing, I'll let you know. A set in two different auctions of NOS red alloy tuff lls went for about £300 about 3 weeks ago though.
Cheers

I'm still waiting to get them mags off of Mr fast (swivel) ;D

a good set of original skyways in good colour will always make money - buying a old set and getting them restored will cost as well - depending in what shape and how much it takes to get them looking good again

white one's will dye, but if used the brake rub will show through as white/pink smear
dying old red to red  is better as the brake rub will only look used

cheers B  :D
