Hi all
Looking at buying stuff from USA, how much extra do you normally have to pay for customs and taxes?

Cheers fellas :daumenhoch:

There's an import tax calculator site somewhere, i'll see if i can find it. i'm guessing you'll have to pay about 3% import tax then 20% vat plus possible courier handling fee.  i've just ordered a handbag from US and thats 3% plus vat amount. i think you dont pay the 3% if item is less than £135 or around that figure.

what is it with woman and handbags, my girlfriend must have about 30 of them. she could have had a nice old bmx for the money she spent on them.  ;)

I'm a good girl, honest, I only have about 5 handbags    But my favourite make is Dooney &  Bourke and I can't get them in this country.  This one is in the sale too, couldn't afford it at normal price.  I have got a nice old bmx too, bought that before the handbags    :daumenhoch:

Ohh you've forgot the Royal mail holding fee of £8 aswell   ::)  :(

when they send you the letter for the duty to be paid , but say they are holding the item for you till it's paid

But we don't want them to hold it  :D  :crazy2:

leave it at the customs depot till it's ready to be posted ,,

fookin smackheads  :idiot2:
