Henry's Haro (16" Pit bike re-furb)
« on: March 23, 2011, 04:42 PM »
I bought a 2nd hand Haro Mirra Pit bike for my eldest a couple of years ago, I don't have a pic to hand, but it was basically the same as this...

Well, my eldest now has a NS Ripper, so the Haro needed a bit of a Re-furb for my youngest, Henry - who's 5. It had to be Thomas (the Tank Engine) Blue though, so it got stripped down, and I did a rattle can job, the only other things changed were the tyres, grips and the Decals (Big thanks to DEL for a super bargain on them :daumenhoch:), it's built apart from brake cables, which were pretty mashed up. (Anyone got any short Red cables spare for a Pit? 90mm length..??), anyway I am quite please with the results...:  :)

Wicked - that's a cracking freshen uo job. My daughter has a 16" Lil'Ripper waiting till she's big enough and I bought it s/h a bit scuffed to say the least so it's gonna get a fresh powder coat in what ever her favourite colour is at the time.

Trouble is that would be bright pink if I had to do it now which is a bit of a crime against SE bikes... ;-)
Still limping......

That first pic looks familar ;)
Belive that has had a makeover now.
Looks really cool, Not sure about the red though :-\
As for red brake cables, Just buy some Odyssey slic cables and cut them to the required length :daumenhoch:

ahem, .... Red Grips were Henry's choice  :D

hence the need to the red cables to balance it out....  ;)

One lucky little fella  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
