anyone know if you can buy PEEK in an actual shop?

so far only found it online, wouldn't mind having a crack at my superfox frame if I get chance this weekend so would rather get it from a shop..

couldn't find it in wilkinsons or supermarket, nor halfrauds/Dyas/B&Q...

where are you based OT? thought you were oop north for some reason?
since I moved down south I haven't seen a proper hardware shop (with ronnie barker style character behind the counter  ) here it seems to be either crap chains like B&Q or crappy pound shops. suppose there's not that much demand for proper 'old school' hardware shops nowadays
found it on amazon for about £6 - half of that is postage & means having to wait for days

aye lad Yorkshire , old DIY shop is part of the planning regs up here every new estate has to have one ,,,   not to bad on price that from amazon ,   100g tubes are about £4 round here

i got peek off ebay for 4 quid and delivered in 2 days


you can also get Q2 silver cleaner and it contains no phosphates nitrates or ammonia and i think its good stuff as well

went out for a drive with mrs griff earlier and just happened to find a hardware shop in bourne end
no brown overcoat but managed to get some Peek - was £3.50 for a 50g tube but should be enough to keep me busy for a bit 

got a nice sturdy wire brush & some goddard's silver polish too so I'll be ready for stage 3 of the bendycat process


gonna have a go at it after dinner - nice saturday night for the wife

We have one in our village thats been there since the dawn of time, while all around has closed down/changed hands/become a supermarket.  Its fookin ace, tiny but stuff hanging from every square inch of space.

They even have fork handles.....
